USMEF provides tools to break into new markets or expand the business in existing markets. These resources include information about animal health and disease issues, an updated list of U.S. red meat suppliers, help to navigate the intricate requirements of the USDA and importing countries, the Branded Products Program and the International Meat Manual. USMEF’s Technical Notes apprise members of changes to export regulations and warnings about specific documentation problems, and are e-mailed to members as they occur. The export resources also contain information on the various beef export verification programs and help with bilingual labeling requirements.

The Approved Compound Comparison Matrix indicates if a compound is approved on any of the U.S. GRAS list, FSIS Directive 7120.1, the Japan Designated Foods Additives List or the Japan Existing Food Additive List.
The FSIS-GRAS Approved List is a list of all compounds approved as US-GRAS or on the FSIS Directive 7120.1, and their corresponding approval status in Japan.
