With the H1N1 Influenza virus dominating trade news over the past few days, this week’s U.S. Meat Export Federation Weekly Audio Report is a brief summary and update on market access for U.S. pork.
Despite repeated assurances from global health authorities regarding the safety of pork, Russia, China and several smaller markets continue to impose restrictions on U.S. meat exports. USMEF is working to keep these suspensions as limited and as brief as possible, while also focusing on maintaining pork demand in global markets where U.S. pork is still fully available.
