Weekly USMEF Audio Report: Work Continues on Lifting China Pork Ban; Influenza Impact Modest in Other Asian Markets...

May 11, 2009-  In this week’s U.S. Meat Export Federation weekly audio report, USMEF Senior Vice President for the Asia-Pacific Region Joel Haggard provides an update on efforts to persuade China to lift the ban it imposed on U.S. pork exports following confirmation of H1N1 Influenza in the United States.

Haggard, who is based in Hong Kong, says the impact of H1N1 Influenza has been somewhat modest in most other Asian markets, including Taiwan and South Korea.
