Weekly USMEF Audio: Caspers Closing Remarks

May 23, 2009 - As the annual meeting of the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) board of directors wrapped up Friday, May 22, in Washington, D.C., USMEF Chairman Jon Caspers, a pork producer from Swaledale, Iowa, offered closing remarks to about 200 members in attendance. Caspers noted the challenging global environment facing the U.S. beef and pork industries, but expressed confidence in continued success for U.S. exports.

The U.S. Meat Export Federation (www.USMEF.org) is the trade association responsible for developing international markets for the U.S. red meat industry and is funded by USDA, exporting companies, and the beef, pork, corn and soybean checkoff programs.
