Valcin Interview on Caribbean Market

Published: Mar 30, 2009

Last year the Caribbean accounted for almost $150 million in U.S. beef and pork exports. The island region was also the largest destination for U.S. lamb, purchasing about half the value of all U.S. lamb exports.

To help grow this market further, USMEF recently hosted a group of Caribbean retail executives for an in-depth look at the U.S. meat industry. This segment features an interview with Troy Valcin of St. Lucia. Ms. Valcin is perishables director for Consolidated Foods, which is the parent company of Super J - St. Lucia’s largest grocery chain.
