U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) Chairman John Bellinger has appointed one advisory and five at-large directors, representing a cross section of the meat industry, to the USMEF Executive Committee.

The directors, appointed by the chairman to represent beef, pork and lamb producers and feeders, packers and processors, purveyors and traders, oilseed and feedgrain producers, farm organizations and supply and service organizations, serve a one-year term.

The appointed directors are: Dan Dierschke, Austin, Texas, Texas Beef Council; Bill O’Connor, Dakota Dunes, S.D., Tyson Foods, Inc.; Ed Blair, Vale, S.D., National Cattlemen’s Beef Association; Hugh Dorminy, Russellville, Ark., National Pork Board; Bart Beattie, Sumner, Neb., Nebraska Corn Board and Phil Bradshaw, Griggsville, Ill., United Soybean Board.

U.S. Meat Export Federation is the trade association responsible for developing international markets for the U.S. red meat industry and is funded by USDA, exporting companies, and the beef, pork, lamb, corn, sorghum and soybean checkoff programs.
