The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) works internationally to build demand for U.S. pork, adding value to U.S. producers’ bottom line. USMEF also has taken the lead in preparing U.S. beef exporters for re-entry into the Japanese marketplace. The following video news releases were developed to highlight these USMEF activities.

(1:41): U.S. pork exports set records for volume and value last year. USMEF activities in key markets like Mexico, Japan and Korea continue U.S. pork export growth.

(1:35): USMEF identifies the outlook for demand of U.S. beef as it returns to restaurant menus and retail store meat cases in Japan.

(1:41): U.S. beef exporters learn about new U.S. beef cuts and dishes that can be used in Japan, maximizing the value of the limited quantities of U.S. beef eligible for export to Japan.

The U.S. Meat Export Federation is the trade association responsible for developing international markets for the U.S. red meat industry and is funded by USDA, exporting companies, and the beef, pork, lamb, corn, sorghum and soybean checkoff programs.
