The U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) diligently works in Japan and over 70 nations worldwide to communicate the safety of U.S. beef and the high quality of U.S. pork. Three video news releases were developed to highlight USMEF activities in the global marketplace.

Television media: if you have not already received broadcast quality copies of these VNRs and would like to, please contact Baxter Communications at (317) 638-2338.

(2:05): U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns says U.S. beef is safe. USMEF communicates that message internationally to educate consumers and to restore confidence in U.S. beef.

(2:05): U.S. pork exports set records for volume and value last year. USMEF promotions help boost pork sales in key markets like Mexico, Japan and Korea.

(2:00): In mid-April, Taiwan reopened to U.S. beef, ending a 16-month ban. After a series of re-launch events, USMEF looks at ways to rebuild the U.S. beef market in Taiwan.

The U.S. Meat Export Federation is the trade association responsible for developing international markets for the U.S. red meat industry and is funded by USDA, exporting companies, and the beef, pork, corn, sorghum and soybean checkoff programs.
