Suggested Lead: Strategic planning and education of U.S. meat exporters and producers are on tap as the U.S. Meat Export Federation (USMEF) holds its Strategic Planning and Marketing Conference in Cancun, Mexico, this week. Phil Seng is the USMEF President and CEO. He says holding the meeting in Mexico allowed the organization to highlight a key market of the U.S. meat industry.

The U.S. Meat Export Federation is the trade association responsible for developing international markets for the U.S. red meat industry and is funded by USDA, exporting companies, and the beef, pork, lamb, corn, sorghum and soybean checkoff programs.
