The meeting will kick off Wednesday with an address by Jan Lambregts, head of RaboResearch Global Economics & Markets. He will present a forward-looking analysis of global and domestic economic forces, exploring which players – governments, markets, or consumers – are shaping the future. Lambregts will also discuss key economic indicators, policy moves, and market dynamics to reveal who truly holds the cards in today’s rapidly shifting environment.
Thursday’s general session will focus on the future of North American agricultural trade, with leading experts offering insights on the upcoming review of the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) and on how recent policy actions have impacted trade within the region. Panelists will include Kenneth Smith Ramos, who served as Mexico´s chief negotiator for the modernization of NAFTA, which led to the signing and ratification of USMCA, and John Masswohl, director emeritus of international relations for the Canadian Cattle Association.
The conference will conclude on Friday with a closing business session and election of the 2025-26 USMEF officers.
In addition to our guest speakers, USMEF’s international team will be on hand throughout the week to discuss market conditions in their regions and detail the strategies utilized to bolster U.S. red meat demand.
The conference will be held at the JW Marriott, located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis.
