More Detailed Statistics Now On USMEF Website
The ever-improving USMEF website now offers Japanese import statistics showing from which countries Japan’s beef and pork imports came since 1994. The data, derived from Japan’s customs service, also breaks down imports to show such items as tongue and liver. Similar statistics are offered for the European Union, Eastern Europe, the Caribbean, Russia, the Middle East, Latin America, the Association of South-East Asian Nations (ASEAN), South Korea, Taiwan, China and Mexico. The USMEF website is designed to be a useful, proactive tool for our members.
From the members’ home page select International Markets from the menu on the left of the screen. Select the country or region you wish and then choose statistics.
USDA export statistics are also posted monthly at www.usmef.org. Select Library from the menu bar at the top of the screen and you’ll find Statistics under Economics.
