Vietnam Limits Eligible Pork Variety Meat Items

Vietnam Limits Eligible Pork Variety Meat Items

On November 17th, the FSIS Library of Export Requirements for Vietnam was updated to indicate that all pork and pork products are eligible for Vietnam and must be accompanied by the FSIS Form 9060-5.  However, USMEF has been advised that due to ongoing discrepancies in establishment of maximum residue levels, only three pork offal items will be allowed entry into Vietnam: livers, hearts and kidneys. (Muscle cut exports should not be impacted by this change.)

USMEF advises exporters to check carefully with their importers before shipping any pork offal items other than livers, hearts and kidneys to Vietnam. USMEF continues to work with USDA in an effort to resolve this issue.
