USDA Extends GSM-102 Credit Guarantees To Lebanon

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has authorized $20 million in credit guarantees for sales of U.S. agricultural commodities to Lebanon under the Commodity Credit Corporation’s Export Credit Guarantee Program (GSM-102) for fiscal year 2003.

Exporters may apply for credit guarantees on a first-come, first-served basis to cover sales of any of the commodities specified in the GSM list of commodities published in the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) program announcement PR 0346-02 issued Sept. 24, 2002. For more information and the latest commodity list, consult the FAS home page http://www.fas.usda.gov. Beef, pork and lamb can all be exported to Lebanon. For details, consult the FSIS online Library of Export Requirements, http://www.fsis.usda.gov/OFO/export/lebanon.htm.
