Second Online Seminar For BEV (Appendix A) Program Today 

USMEF, in cooperation with the USDA-Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS), is conducting a final online seminar to help members better understand the requirements of the new Beef Export Verification (BEV) Program – Appendix A for processed beef products for export to Japan.

Program Information: AMS defines processed beef products as ready-to-eat products that contain at least 2 percent cooked beef that has been subjected to heat or drying and do not contain products derived from edible rendering. Under the BEV Program Appendix A, processed beef products must meet the following requirements: they contain no beef or beef products from any country named in 9 CFR, section 94.18 (a)(1); and contain no beef or beef products produced from livestock imported from any country named in 9 CFR, section 94.18 (a)(1). Seasoned, marinated, breaded or other uncooked products do not fit this definition and are instead covered under the standard
