The U.S. red meat industry made a strong showing at the 29th annual Americas Food & Beverage Show this month in Miami, which counted more than 13,000 attendees from 90 countries. Twenty-nine members filled 43 booths in USMEF’s expanded exhibit area.

The evening before the show began, USMEF and the USA Poultry & Egg Export Council hosted a trade reception for 350 exhibitors and importers. Foreign Agricultural Service Administrator Daniel Whitley provided welcome remarks.

USMEF country representatives brought 17 importers from Central America, Colombia, Mexico and South America to the show, also leading the importers on site visits and meetings with five member suppliers prior to and during the show.

Funding support was provided by the National Pork Board, the Beef Checkoff Program, and USDA’s Market Access Program and Regional Agricultural Promotion Program.
