USMEF Chair Joins Nebraska Governor on National Ag Day Tour

USMEF Chair Steven Hanson, a rancher, cattle feeder and grain producer from Elsie, Neb., recently joined Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen and Department of Agriculture Director Sherry Vinton for a National Agriculture Day tour highlighting the state’s diverse agricultural economy.

 The tour included a press conference at the JBS processing facility in Omaha, where Gov. Pillen signed proclamations on National Ag Day in Nebraska and declaring National Ag Trade Day. Also included in the delegation were Nebraska Beef Council Executive Director Ann Marie Bosshamer and Laura Field, executive vice president of the Nebraska Cattlemen.
