Russia Imports More Meat Less Poultry

Russia imported 4.8 percent more red meat in the first two months of 2003 (141,300 mt) than in the first two months of 2002, according to figures released by the Russian Customs Service.

In the same period Russia imported 161,700 mt of poultry, a decrease of 23 percent compared with Jan.-Feb. 2002.
