Agriculture Committee Seeks Input On Farm Bill
Members of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture are seeking ideas, thoughts and concerns about the future of farm policy to help determine what the next farm bill will look like.
Committee on Agriculture Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) sent a letter to USMEF President and CEO Phil Seng encouraging USMEF members to participate in the committee’s Web-based farm bill feedback form.
“Our goal is to provide our producers with an adequate safety net to ensure they are able to continue to produce the safest, most affordable food supply in the world and the feedback we receive through our Web site will help us as we consider the next farm bill,” Goodlatte said in his letter.
To provide feedback, go to www.agriculture.house.gov, click the Farm Bill Feedback Form link, fill-in the form and submit comments on farm policy. The committee accepts feedback until Dec. 31.
