UAE Exempts Gulfood Show Samples from EV Program
For companies exhibiting U.S. beef at the Gulfood Show in Dubai later this month, product samples will not be subject to the export verification (EV) program currently in place. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has issued a noticein the FSIS Export Library that specifically exempts properly-labeled Gulfood Show samples from the program. The exemption reads as follows:
Samples intended for the Gulfood Show held in Dubai, UAE, on February 21-24, 2010, are not subject to the EV program. "Samples for display at the Gulfood Show" should be indicated on the product cartons and in the Remarks section of FSIS 9060-5.
