U.S. Beef Nutrition, Sustainability Promoted at Inaugural USMEF Event in Taiwan

Globally, health and fitness are of growing importance to consumers. In key export markets, USMEF works to promote the nutritional benefits of high-quality U.S. red meat. USMEF Taiwan recently hosted an event that integrated fitness, nutrition and sustainability, while positioning high-quality U.S. beef as a daily ingredient in a healthy lifestyle.

USMEF’s inaugural “Run for our Sustainability” was a 5K fun run in New Taipei City. More than 1,000 registered runners and nearly 2,000 attendees participated in the half-day event, which included interactive booths, live stage performances, mascots and other family-friendly activities. Highlights involved samplings of exclusive U.S. beef dishes prepared by 18 industry partners, including renowned restaurants and leading importers.

The event generated extensive digital engagement through social media and news coverage.

Funding support was provided by the Beef Checkoff Program and Iowa Corn Promotion Board.
