To Export Processed Meats to Russia, Establishments Must File Form 9080-3

The government of Russia has requested a list of all U.S. establishments that export processed meat products to Russia. The U.S. government has committed to supply Russia with an initial list by May 1, after receiving assurances from Russia that this list can be updated after May 1.

To facilitate this process, FSIS will use Form 9080-3 as the basis for establishing the initial list of establishments. FSIS is asking all establishments that have exported processed meat products to the Russian Federation in the last year, and those who intend to export to Russia in the next 12 months, to complete FSIS Form 9080-3, which can be obtained from your inspector-in-charge.  For your establishment to be included on the initial list, the deadline for completing the form is April 15. Establishments who are not on a list as eligible to ship to Russia may find that their exports are denied entry into Russia at some point after May 1.

Any establishment on a list to export to Russia should be prepared to certify that its Russia-destined exports comply with Russian regulations, and should expect to be subject to an audit.

Russia’s veterinary and sanitary requirement for processed meats is available online. Please contact the USMEF Export Services Department at 303-623-6328 with any questions.
