Retail Promotions Show Consumers How To Cook U.S. Beef
USMEF conducted in-store cooking demonstrations and tasting promotions in August at key retail stores in Taiwan to show consumers effective ways of cooking U.S. beef so it remains tender and flavorful.
USMEF aims to encourage U.S. beef purchases by offering established cooking methods that yield delicious beef dishes. The events also enhance cooperative relationships between USMEF and retailers RT-Mart, Costco, Carrefour, Wellcome and Yumaowu.
Through the first seven months of this year, U.S. beef and beef variety meat exports to Taiwan increased 40 percent in volume to 10,577 metric tons and 20 percent in value to $49.9 million compared to the same time period last year.
