Hotels Successfully Feature U.S. Beef On Restaurant Menus
Two premiere hotels in Taiwan successfully featured U.S. beef with USMEF promotions last month, with one hotel selling out its U.S. beef supply before promotion’s end.
The Grand Formosa Regent Hotel, a five-star hotel in Taipei, sold out of more than 3,000 cuts of roast beef in the first 28 days of its 37-day promotion.
“The roast beef takes about two hours to prepare, so we only accept reservations. Many consumers came here without reservations and were disappointed. This U.S. beef promotion is definitely one of our most successful promotions, ever,” said Ellen Chang, public relations director of Regent Hotel.
The five-star Grand Hi-Lai Hotel, located in the financial district in Kaohsiung, also promoted U.S. beef in May, featuring the highest quality of U.S. beef in its four hotel restaurants.
“We are glad U.S. beef is back on Taiwan’s table again. We certainly hope the beef trade will continue to be stable, so we can always provide the best meat to our consumers.” said Ya-Chi Hsu, secretary of general manager of Grand Hi-Lai Hotel.
