Taiwan Clarification – April 1 is Eligible Slaughter Date

After this morning's announcement regarding the eligibility of selected beef offal to Taiwan, USMEF received clarification from FSIS that the April 1 date referenced is the slaughter date. The FSIS Export Library has now been updated accordingly to read:

The following fresh and/or frozen beef products: bones with meat, hanging tenders, tongues, penis, testes, tails, and skirts, derived from cattle less than 30 months of age slaughtered on or after April 1, 2010.
