Taiwan Adds Tendons to List of Eligible U.S. Beef Offal Items

The government of Taiwan has added beef tendons to its list of eligible products from the U.S.:

  1. The following fresh and/or frozen beef products: bones with meat, hanging tenders, tongues, penis, testes, tails, tendons, and skirts (diaphragm), derived from cattle less than 30 months of age slaughtered on or after April 1, 2010.*

    Note: For items in A2, exporters are advised to work closely with the importers to ensure that import permits are issued by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA).

These offal items have an eligible slaughter date of April 1, 2010, or later. For more information on exporting to Taiwan, consult the online Export Requirements for Taiwan.
