Consumers Rush To Buy Disappearing U.S. Beef

Taiwanese media reported that Taiwanese consumers rushed to buy up stocks of U.S. beef as the government reinstated a ban on U.S. beef following the announcement of a second U.S. BSE case.

Taiwan’s prime minister banned U.S. beef imports on Saturday (June 25) two months after the previous ban was lifted.
