List Of Plants In BEV Program Online

The USDA Agriculture Marketing Service has started posting a list of approved plants for Taiwan on its Web site. Plants which exclusively kill animals under 30 months of age do not have to participate in a beef export verification (BEV) program. All other plants have to take part in a BEV program.

The U.S. beef industry can export boneless beef from animals under 30 months of age slaughtered on or after April 16, 2005. 

Exporters are advised to work with their importers to assure that copies of completed and signed FSIS 9060-5, FSIS 9285-1, and the FSIS letterhead certificate for boneless beef are distributed as necessary to facilitate clearance in Taiwan.
