St. Lucia Lifts Ban on U.S. Pork

The Caribbean island nation of St. Lucia is the latest country to remove its influenza-related suspension of U.S. pork exports, effective July 8. The market had been closed to U.S. pork since April 27.

The FSIS Export Library has been updated for cooked pork only, but should be updated for all pork products very soon. With the reopening of St. Lucia, Argentina is now the only Western Hemisphere nation still closed to U.S. pork for reasons related to A-H1N1 influenza. Argentina suspended fresh/frozen imports of U.S. pork on June 25.
