Chefs Get A Taste Of Beef During U.S. Visit

Five chefs from South Korea are visiting the United States this week to learn about U.S. beef attributes and cooking trends in preparation for when U.S. beef is back on South Korean menus.

USMEF Korea Marketing Assistant Elly Sung accompanied the chefs to the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association Culinary Center in Chicago for a presentation and demonstration on the latest beef trends, in addition to attributes that make U.S. beef unique and how they affect cooking methods.

The chefs dined at American restaurants to see how beef was prepared and presented. At a restaurant in Chicago they enjoyed a 40-foot long exhibition kitchen because they observed the preparation of their meals.
