Agriculture Ministry Says Still Reviewing Lifting Of Beef Ban

South Korea’s agriculture ministry denied the report in yesterday’s Chosun Ilbo, a major South Korean newspaper, that the South Korean government has decided to lift its ban on imports of U.S. beef. The ministry says that it has not made a decision on lifting the ban, but that the government is seriously reviewing reopening based on science, because the ban is directly linked with consumer safety.
