Peru And Colombia Export Requirements For Beef Updated

Export requirements for beef and beef products destined for Peru and Colombia have been updated in the FSIS Export Library since the last modification on Friday (Nov. 3).

The words "from animals 30 months of age and older" have been added to the Eligible Products description for both countries. For Peru, the statement, "Establishments where non-conforming product is also present is subject to an approved AMS Export Verification (EV) Program" was added. For Colombia, the statement, "Rendered beef fat is not subject to the EV Program" now is included.

For both countries, the statement, "The product meets the EV requirements for Peru" (or "The product meets the EV requirements for Colombia"), must be included on the FSIS Form 9060-6, Application for Export.
