U.S. Beef Processors Reminded To File Affidavit Prior To Exporting
Any U.S. meat processor wishing to export beef to Singapore must complete an affidavit prior to exporting product. An affidavit must be filed for each FSIS processor establishment number. The affidavit ensures shipments from the establishment do not contain beef from Mexican cattle imported for immediate processing.
Filing the affidavit is required only one time and is sent to and kept on file by the Singapore Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority. A copy of the affidavit should also be sent to USMEF Technical Services.
For more information, see Affidavit Instructions and Affidavit Form on the USMEF Web site. To access these items directly on the site, go to www.usmef.org, log in as a USMEF member and select Business Tools located in the right navigation pane.
