Russia
Ministry Allocates Balance Of Import Quotas
Russia’s Ministry of Economy and Development has announced the second part (75 percent) of its quota distribution for chilled beef (HS 0201) and frozen beef (0202), frozen pork (0203) and pork trimmings (0203 29550 2 and 0203 29900 2) for 2008. The distribution was allocated to importers based on the volume of their 2007 imports.
Since the 25 percent of the quota allocated in mid-January was exhausted, the allocation means U.S. exporters can resume shipments.
