USMEF Welcomes New Moscow Manager

Bringing 11 years of meat marketing experience to USMEF, Galina Kochubeeva will begin her role as the manager of Moscow and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) on July 2.

“Galina’s experience working with meat traders, exporters and distributors in Russia will benefit USMEF efforts,” said John Brook, USMEF Regional Director of Europe, Russia and the Middle East. “Her experience in managing all stages of meat import operations will be a valuable resource to our export members.”

Kochubeeva has an extensive history with the various facets of her new position. Most recently, she maintained direct contacts with business partners such as wholesalers, distributors and retailers in the Eurasian region (Russia and other CIS countries) as an account manager at Perdigao Agroindustrial S.A., a Brazilian company.

Prior to that, as an import manager for IQ Trade, a Russian importer of meat and poultry, Kochubeeva completed international market research and gained experience working with Russian suppliers, traders and shipping companies. She also became familiar with the technical and policy perspectives of the industry, working with veterinarians, government agencies and customs authorities.

“We are excited to have Galina on staff to work with members doing business in this very important region for U.S. pork and beef,” said Brook.
