Magazine Feature Highlights USMEF Services

A top priority for USMEF in Russia is increased cooperation with importers and key industry officials to increase U.S. red meat exports. To communicate that priority, Myasocom, a monthly meat commerce magazine, featured USMEF in its September issue, outlining USMEF strategies and goals.

The story details the new leaders in the USMEF Brussels and Moscow offices and focuses on USMEF activities, services and events to assist Russian importers and buyers in addition to wholesalers, retailers and restaurateurs.

USMEF is working to increase U.S. red meat imports through efforts such as distribution of educational materials featuring U.S. meat information, seminars and cooking classes conducted by U.S. chefs and famous Russian chefs.

The magazine is distributed to more than 4,500 people involved in the agricultural, trade and processing industries. Agricultural policy makers, customs officials and trade department personnel also subscribe. This is the first story of three scheduled to appear in the magazine.
