Russia Amends List Of Points Of Entry For Meat Imports

On March 15, the Russian Federal Customs Office amended a regulation that would have removed six custom posts in St. Petersburg and the one customs post in Vladivostok from the approved list of customs posts that can clear meat imports.

Under the amended regulation effective April 15, three leading customs posts in St. Petersburg and the Vladivostok customs post will be eligible for clearance of meat imports and thus there should be no disruption of meat imports to Russia. The Federal Customs Office also added a few more customs posts outside the Port of St. Petersburg that will be able to perform custom clearance for meat imports with a higher degree of efficiency.
