Qatari Trade Eager for U.S. Beef

Now that Qatar has re-opened its market to U.S. beef, the Qatari import trade is eager to resume imports and is urgently seeking to contact U.S. suppliers. Pork is not eligible for export to Qatar.

In addition to FSIS Export Form 9060-5, a halal certificate endorsed by the Arabian-American Chamber of Commerce and by the Qatar Consul must accompany all shipments. See the FSIS Export Library for details on Qatar.

The Gulf Center for Foodstuffs is interested in an initial air shipment of 1,400 kilograms of chilled U.S. beef tenderloin, striploin and rib eye, commercial grade. The company distributes to hotels and restaurants. Prices should be quoted CIF Doha International Airport. The Gulf Center for Foodstuffs is already importing frozen beef from Australia, Brazil and New Zealand.

QNIE is a key importer, distributor and purveyor of foodstuffs to high-end hotels and restaurants. The company is urgently requesting offers for a 5-metric ton air shipment of chilled U.S. beef tenderloin, T-Bone, rib eye and topside beef cuts (prices to be quoted CIF Doha International Airport) and one 20-foot container of frozen U.S. beef of the same cuts, preferably Certified Angus Beef products. The chilled beef order is a quick shipment meant to supply their customers until the arrival of the container.
