Pork Export Insights

Published: Jul 11, 2012
A new report funded by the Pork Checkoff and conducted by Colorado State University’s Center for Meat Safety and Quality offers insights into international perceptions of U.S. pork.

The study consisted of extensive one-on-one interviews as well as quantitative computer-assisted personal interviews with importers, distributors, processors and foodservice, retail and wholesale buyers in Japan, Mexico, Russia and China/Hong Kong.

USMEF international directors and staff were extensively involved in facilitating the interviews. The project was designed as a follow-up to the master’s degree thesis of Kevin Smith, USMEF director of export services.

Summary factsheets and a full presentation are available online.
