Health Certificate No Longer Requires Under 30 Months

The health certificate for U.S. beef and beef tripe exports to Poland will no longer require a statement that beef and beef tripe must originate from animals under 30 months of age after May 1, when Poland joins the European Union (EU).

Companies wishing to continue or start exporting tripe to Poland must comply with the five requirements listed under Section II.Q, Casing, Bladders and stomachs under the EU requirements in the FSIS Export Library. In addition exporters must submit Application Form 9080-3 signed by the inspector-in-charge and Circuit Supervisor to Dr. Larry Lee at the FSIS Technical Center.
