Philippines Announces New Pork Purchase Specifications
The Philippine government has released new specifications for an upcoming purchase of 3000 metric tons of pork, with a delivery deadline of Dec. 20.

TRANSPORTATION OF 3,000 MT OF PORK
The Food Terminal Incorporated (FTI) wishes to announce that it will be importing an additional 3,000 metric tons of pork through negotiated procurement pursuant to R.A. 9184 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations with a budget of P480,000,000.00.
Interested suppliers should be willing to supply any or a combination of pork picnic (kasim), pork belly (liempo), pork ham (pigue), or any other types of cut acceptable to the procuring entity.
Commodity should arrive by December 20, 2009.
Source countries shall be Australia, Canada, United States of America and other countries accredited by the Philippine Department of Agriculture (DA) to export to the Philippines in accordance with the DA Administrative Order No. 16, Series of 2006.
All interested suppliers are required to submit quotations in U.S. dollars or PHP per metric ton, broken down as to type/cut, CIF Port of Manila on the basis of an irrevocable Letter of Credit (L/C) upon arrival. Interested foreign suppliers must be duly accredited by the Competent Authority of the country of origin to export pork and must be of good standing.
FTI will accepting letters of intent/proposals during office hours, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Mondays through Fridays, except holidays, at the FTI Administration Building, FTI Complex, East Service Road, Taguig City, c/o attorney Ryan A. Martinez.
The Food Terminal, Inc. reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any required formality of defect therein and may accept bid/s which is deemed most advantageous to the Corporation.
