New Directive on Intestines, Casings Will Be Implemented Nov. 26
The Food Safety & Inspection Service (FSIS) will implement a directive on the Inspection and Export Certification of Livestock Intestines or Casings on Nov. 26. The directive instructs inspection program personnel how to determine whether intestines or casings from livestock are eligible to receive the mark of inspection and how to certify intestines or casings for export. The directive also contains questions and answers for the inspection and export certification of livestock intestines. Exporters can read the directive online.
