Miller Shares USMEF’s Message with Farm Broadcasters
Vice Chairman Keith Miller conducted a steady stream of radio interviews Thursday while representing USMEF at the “Trade Talk” session of the 2009 National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) Convention in Kansas City.
Miller, a farmer-stockman from Great Bend, Kan., discussed the latest beef, pork and lamb export results and addressed questions on Asian market access, the impact of H1N1 influenza on pork trade, the export outlook for 2010 and a host of other current issues.
USMEF Vice Chairman Keith Miller speaks with Tom Rothman of Minnesota Farm Network
“I’m really pleased to be able to share USMEF’s message with producers from all across the country through this great community of farm broadcasters,” Miller said. “They are very knowledgeable about our issues and really understand the importance of exports to American agriculture, and that was evident by the questions asked and the issues we discussed.”
The next NAFB Trade Talk, which occurs annually in Kansas City, is scheduled for Nov. 11, 2010.
