USMEF Teams With Hotels In Promoting U.S. Beef In Egypt And Lebanon

USMEF teamed up with two five-star hotels to conduct U.S. beef promotions in fine dining restaurants, raising awareness of U.S. beef among chefs and interest in tasting it among consumers.

The U.S. beef promotions, held at the Grand Hyatt Cairo and the Beirut Marriott Hotel, were advertised and featured in many popular newspapers and magazines. Editorials described U.S. beef as “second to none” and of “very high quality”.

The Grand Hyatt Cairo identified U.S. beef tenderloin, sirloin and rib-eye on a special promotional menu while the Beirut Marriott Hotel had six featured U.S. beef cuts on its menu. Both menus included the beef checkoff logo and the USMEF logo.

The promotions were successful in encouraging use of U.S. beef as both hotels still feature it on its menus. Consumer attention was also drawn to U.S. beef as a result of the promotions. Many consumers tried U.S. beef and continue to ask for it since they enjoyed it so much.
