U.S. Beef May Be Exhibited At Gulf Food 2005

The Agricultural Trade Office (ATO) in Dubai has received written permission from the Dubai government to allow U.S. beef samples at Gulf Food 2005.

Shipments should be clearly marked "Samples for Gulf Food 2005, not for commercial sale" and the same statement should be on the FSIS export certificate. Samples will be allowed for taste testing on the show floor, but none can be sold. Samples do not have to be returned to the U.S. or destroyed at show's end. The Dubai World Trade Center authority has stipulated that only exhibitors are allowed to carry samples from the exhibition halls. Beef shipments for the show should be consigned to Agricultural Trade Office Dubai. If samples have been consigned other parties already, contact the ATO for clearance letters.
