Sesame Street Helps USMEF Inform Families Of U.S. Meat Benefits
USMEF co-sponsored many Sesame Street auditorium shows in Mexico during November to inform families with young children of the advantages of including U.S. red meat in their diets.
“These events were excellent opportunities for USMEF to better inform key consumer groups about the nutritional attributes of U.S. red meat in a healthy diet and to build future demand for quality U.S. products,” said Chad Russell, USMEF regional director of Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
At a Nov. 13 press conference covered by major Mexican media outlets, Gilberto Lozano, USMEF Mexico director, external relations said USMEF was honored to co-sponsor these events to promote healthy nutritional habits by encouraging parents to incorporate U.S. red meat into daily meals. Parents received nutrition, cut and cooking information to take home.
The Sesame Street shows took place in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Torreon, Aguascalientes and Queretaro. The USMEF logo was featured on advertisement materials and prominently displayed at each show.
