Mexico Restrictions Change

Published: Jan 30, 2009

USMEF has learned that the government of Mexico is revising its restrictions on products that are not eligible for export from the U.S. to Mexico.  Previously, it was indicated that products issued certificates of export on specified dates during the December 2008 holidays would not be eligible for export.  We understand that those ineligible dates now pertain to the slaughter date of the animals.  Please watch the eligible plant list in the Export Library for details.  USMEF will provide updates as information becomes available.  Contact Ann Spaeth at aspaeth@usmef.org if you have any questions.
