It’s Official: Export Certificate Doesn’t Need To Be Signed By Veterinarian

Mexico’s General Director of Animal Health Dr. Jose Angel Del Valle has told the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) that export certificates can “be signed by an official medical veterinarian or other professional official designated by the competent authority of the country of origin.” Dr. Del Valle has also informed Mexican inspection personnel that export certificates do not require a signature by a veterinarian.

Members experiencing problems with this or any other border-crossing issue should notify the USMEF export services staff — Ann Spaeth, Paul Clayton or Kevin Smith — at (303) 623-6328.
