WPM Standard Second Phase Begins February 1: Guideline Presentation Online

As we previously reported, the ISPM-15 wood packing material standard for North America will enter the second phase of implementation on February 1, 2006, and pallets and crates used for exports to Mexico will need to be marked that they have been treated according to ISPM-15 guidelines. An excellent PowerPoint presentation on the subject prepared by the Agricultural Trade Office and the U.S. Commercial Service of the American Consulate in Monterrey and Mexico’s Director General of Inspection can be consulted online.
