Latest Update on Russia Beef, Pork Certificates

According to a notice issued today by FSIS, the current Russia beef certificate may be used until the new certificates are available. There is a delay in the availability of Russia pork certificates, but they will be ready for distribution on July 2.  Exporters should check with their inspector to be sure an order has been placed for new certificates.

In some cases, new Russia certificates were ordered early but old certificates were sent by mistake. In that instance, be sure to reorder new certificates, which will be sent using overnight shipping to help make up for time already lost.

If you have any questions or problems with the new certificates, please contact Courtney Heller at 303-623-6328 or cheller@usmef.org.
