USMEF Spreads The Word About Delicious U.S. Pork And Safe U.S. Beef
USMEF participated in FoodEx Kansai, one of largest trade shows in western Japan. More than 45,000 traders and buyers visited the three-day show. USMEF provided visitors with safety information about U.S. beef and merchandising information about U.S. pork.
USMEF staff also met one-on-one with visitors to provide updated information and answer questions about U.S. pork and beef. The trade show was a good opportunity to provide information about U.S. pork products and U.S. beef safety. U.S. packers were also on hand to display and provide samples of U.S. pork and processed pork products.

AgOTC Expresses Concern Over Potential California Port User Fees
Agriculture Ocean Transportation Coalition (AgOTC) is concerned about potential new port user fees proposed in California and elsewhere. AgOTC will continue to advocate against the imposition of such user fees, and should the California Legislature and governor enact user fees, AgOTC would consider initiating litigation pending availability of resources.
